Select any one package for renewal of a broker's license or
a sales agent license.
All
first tuesday courses are approved by the DRE and have received the high rating of Consumer Protection Sponsor
#0473.
The
content of first tuesday's courses is the most thoroughly
researched and current material available. All of our reading materials
are written entirely by our in-house staff of researchers,
writers and editors. The reading material for every course is "California-specific,"
intended solely for California real estate licensees.
Take the final exam online or on paper. Completing 45 hours of continuing
education has never been easier.
The DRE has changed the rules regarding final exam testing for all 45 hours continuing education courses. Effective February 29, 2008 final exams will now be administered over a 3-day period as only 15 credit hours of continuing education can be tested on in any 24 hour period. The passing grade has also been changed to 70% or better.
*This does not affect 18-month Sales licensing, Broker licensing or AFTER courses.
**First time Broker renewals will require a 4 day testing period.
The final exam can be completed
online from your home or office. Once you've finished
the exam, your score will instantly appear on your screen! You can then
print out your Certificates of Completion.

one 45-hour CE package below
All
packages listed below include the six-hour Survey Course, the three-hour Risk Management and three-hour Protecting the Fee course as part of the 45-hour requirement, except for brokers renewing
for the very first time who will automatically receive
15 hours of Ethics, Agency, Fair Housing, Trust Funds and Risk Management instead. The
inclusion of these mandated courses will complete
your 45-hour package. Remember, the enrollment includes a subscription
to the first tuesday online journal.
To meet the CE requirements for renewal we recommend the following:
- If you are in single-family residential sales, package 801 - Due Diligence and Disclosures, or package 202 - Creating Carryback Financing and Buying Homes in Foreclosure - is recommended.
- If you handle or are considering getting into income property or land transactions as a broker or principal, package 503 or 303 - §1031 Reinvestment Plan coupled with either LLC for Group Investments or Buying Homes in Foreclosure - would be an excellent choice.
- If you manage or own income property or are contemplating a switch to the recission-proof occupation of property management, package 602 - Landlord, Tenants, and Property Management - will more than bring you up to speed.
- If you or your clients are interested in the tax consequences of any type of Real Estate transaction, package 404 - Tax Benefits of Ownership - will clear up your tax questions.

And
now, time for some FAQs:
Are
the courses available online?
Yes, and you
can take the final exam online.
Can I take
the final exam online?
Yes. You can take
the final exam online from your home, office, etc. Once you're
done, the exam is instantly graded and you'll get your results
immediately. You can print out your certificates right then or later
— it's up to you!
Other
than the price, what's the difference in the courses?
The Topic-Specific Courses
are focused solely on one or two subjects. The General-Update
Course of Real Estate Matters is a general collection of many different subjects without going in-depth into any of them. The best way to
get the most out of your continuing education is to choose
a course that sounds interesting to you.
Which
course is the easiest/hardest?
There is not an
"easier" or "harder" course. Our reading materials
aren't designed that way. Each course is thoroughly researched
and every attempt is made to present the material in an interesting
and easy-to-understand manner. That being said, the more popular
courses are Course #103 and Course #602.
What's
the Survey Course?
The Survey Course
is a condensed version of Ethics, Agency, Fair Housing and
Trust Funds. It is a six-hour course. The Survey
Course is supplemented with the mandatory Risk Management course and with a three-hour course called Protecting
the Fee to equal 12 hours.
Aren't I required to have Ethics, Agency, Fair Housing, Trust Funds, and Risk Management?
Only brokers renewing
their broker's license for the very first time must take 15
hours of Ethics, Agency, Fair Housing, Trust Funds and Risk Management as part of their 45-hour requirement. When
you register online, check the box if you are a broker
renewing your license for the very first time and we'll make
sure you get the 15 hours of Ethics, Agency, Fair Housing,
Trust Funds and Risk Management that you need. No extra charge of course!
I
need a course in consumer protection. Do you offer those?
All of our courses
are classified with the high rating of consumer protection.
I
want to register for Course #602, but The §1031 Reinvestment
Plan sounds interesting. Can I create my own packages of courses?
No. We prepackage
these courses to conform to the 45 Hour math. If we let
you choose the courses, you may end up with too few or too
many continuing education hours. Select one package and you
get 45 hours. The easier solution is to enroll in Course #602
and buy The §1031 Reinvestment Plan
reading material for $9.50. All of the reading materials we personally publish can be purchased separately by visiting our
library here.
I
already took some classes somewhere else, so I don't need
the full 45 hours. Can I get a package with less course hours?
Yes. Give our office
a call at 1.800.794.0494 for pricing. Let us know how many
hours you already have and we'll let you know which of our
courses will work for you.
